Did Kavanaugh lie about the misconduct?

So it was revealed over the weekend that Christine Blasey Ford was the woman in question that has accused Donald Trump’s nomination of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court of high school-era sexual misconduct.

She has told her story publicly for the first time to the Washington Post.

The alleged misconduct occurred about 35 years ago when she was 15 and he was 17.

I won’t go through the details but aside from the obvious it does bring up other a question:

Since this occurred 35 years ago, there will be little evidence – if any. Kavanaugh and someone else who was there but only watched and both denied it happened.

[Ford mentioned the misconduct to a therapist and her husband in 2012 and has the therapist’s notes but the notes didn’t mention Kavanaugh even though her husband claimed she said his name.]

If Kavanaugh admitted that he would do it, and the fact that it happened 35 years ago, it probably wouldn’t be as bad compared to saying he didn’t do it and evidence clearly showed he did.

A Supreme Court nominee, who lies during the confirmation hearings, would look bad – let alone probable legal consequences.

But, as previously mentioned, Kavanaugh denied the misconduct.
