Scammers at work again

Twice today I received scam calls claiming to be from some charities. One was for the disabled and wounded veterans. If you get a call and you have caller ID, the “prefix” number [i.e. the xxx in 555-xxx-####] will be odd like 150 or 175. The ones we got were like 555-175-9563 and 555-150-6628 [I removed my area code and replaced it with the generic “555”].

Ask if they know your name [don’t give it] and other relevant information. If they don’t hang up. [People can easily get basic information out of a phone book or telephone directory sites.]
