Upgrade issues with Windows 10?

If you have Windows 10 upgrade issues, those in North America can call Microsoft support at 1-800-642-7676. Elsewhere contact your local Microsoft office. In addition, customers also have the option to visit their local Microsoft Store for in-store support. [Well assuming you are not upgrading a desktop computer unless you want to drag it in!]

A word regarding finding their support number, if you “google” Microsoft, do not choose those at the top of the list with the icon “Ad” near them. Probably all of those places will charge you and you’ll probably get more headaches.

  1. I had great luck calling MS about my Win 10 upgrade, and after a time their tech support folks even called me back. I had some sort of conflict in my control panel that prevented it from working. The eventual fix was running mscofig and under the services page tab to disable “windows error reporting service”. It requires a re-boot, but solved my control panel problems. Hope this might help others with Control Panel issues. Thanks to you Ed for your help in contacting MS.
