QR Codes added to BSOD screens

Microsoft has added QR Codes to the infamous BSOD screens for Windows 10 Insider build. [At least in Windows 10, they are more interesting and less often!].

Microsoft has said that these codes are primarily for developers and not end-users. End-users should visit the basic troubleshooting page for blue-screen errors. That page will recommends actions such as troubleshooting software and new hardware.

If you point a smartphone with a QR code scanner at the screen’s QR code, it does not provide a link to the specific error, but instead points to the same basic troubleshooting page that Microsoft uses for blue screen at the URL http://windows.com/stopcode.

Microsoft only recently included the new QR code and support format in a Windows 10 Insider build. Unknown whether it becomes a generally used format for the blue screens of death.
