Looking for a tablet? Avoid the lesser brands

As it is Black Friday/Cyber Monday week [or month..], some people are shopping for tablets.

Avoid tablets from companies you never heard of as they are trying to make a fast buck [even cheap ones] and may not offer support or support in the future. They also tend to have some security issues. Some may not even offer a newer operating system when available.

Interesting to note that there are some semi-brand names like RCA and Polaroid [both who really don’t offer much else in electronics] that are lumped into the brands to avoid according to the web site Bluebox.

The brand names such as Apple, Samsung, Lenovo, HP and even crappy Acer are fine.

Note that tablet sales are slowing down from all brands [would you believe except Microsoft’s Surface?].
