Computer Tip: Windows 8.1 System Image Backup

In Windows 7, Microsoft included the Windows 7 File Recovery tool which would create an image of your system.
In Windows 8, you had to dig around to find it. Oddly it was still called Windows 7 File Recovery tool even though you were in Windows 8. You need to do a search to find it.
In Windows 8.1, the name changed to System Image Backup. But to add to the confusing, try and find it. 🙂
If you are in the Control Panel, go to File History. In the bottom left corner, it is tucked away.
You can probably see it also at c:\Windows\System32\sdclt.exe.
Note: If you try restoring a backup, it should be on [probably] the same identical hardware. So [for example] if you switched from BIOS to UEFI, the restore will fail. Switching back [temporarily] to BIOS should solve that.
