More Windows 8 information revealed

From my blog https://ebraiter.wordpress.com/2012/07/05/microsoft-offers-cheap-windows-8-upgrades/ , customers who are upgrading from Windows 7 will be able to bring along their personal settings, files and applications. Those upgrading from Windows Vista won’t be able to bring along their applications [for whatever reason] but can bring their files and settings. Those upgrading from XP won’t be able to bring along either their applications or their personal settings. Just their files. The last one was the same for Windows 7. No change there.

Microsoft’s Surface tablet with Windows 8 RT, which will include a limited version of Office [unsure on the meaning “limited”] and will be released once Windows 8 is released.

On the other hand Microsoft Surface with Windows 8 Pro [using x86 technology], will not be released until 90 days after the release of Windows 8 so that Microsoft’s hardware partners [HP, Dell, etc.] will have a fighting chance.
