Long live the desktop PC!

Ok. This is a shorty. In the recent weeks, Apple chief, Steve Jobs declared the PC desktop is dead. This was around the time the iPad debuted in the US [and soon infecting the rest of the world].

Now ask any computer professional, and they will tell you that a PC is a desktop or portable device [laptop, netbook] running any operating system – Windows, Linux, Mac OS X, etc.

So, if Steve Jobs says that if the PC desktop is dead, why is his company still selling them? They just released an updated line of iMacs and Mac Minis. Isn’t this a bit hypocritical?

Mr. Jobs ways they are dead but continues to sell them. That’s like Toshiba continuing to sell their HD DVD players after they discontinued them [they stopped but stores may have continued].
